Rod, Gun & Barbers: Junction

Lest we forget is a warning. Every town and every place has a dedicated monument to the soldiers who have fought. Today is not the day to crank up the John Lennon and talk of peace. That should be the aim of all the other days. Today is the day to reflect on war, sacrifice, pain, suffering and the gratitude and respect we owe the warriors. The soldier has to reside in a hellish place and do the unspeakable. Their friends die, they die and they cause death. They grow brave through doing what scares them. They have been around since the dawn of humankind and they stand guard for eternity. Don't forget who they are, what they do, what they've done, what they have fought for and how important they are. If you do forget you will lose everything you hold dear someday and nobody will come to your rescue. It's too easy to wage a war if you forget who has to fight it.

In response to the unfortunate Trump tariffs and his threat of economic force ontoward the annexation of our beloved country the Premiers and Feds have asked all Canadians and retailers to avoid goods and services produced in the United States while we show a united front in the face of dangerous economic aggression. We will not be resupplying American products as they run out and we strongly hope our clients and fellow businesses follow in suit. Our Rod and Gun hair products are produced locally, ci**rs are from Cuba and our alcohol is being alternatively sourced as we speak. Hopefully this silliness will be over soon!

Just thinking about a friend's dog who recently passed. You know a dog doesn't have to live as long as we do. They smell in the grass the proper order of things, family, loyalty, love. They enjoy it and are ready to move on. It is people that take a lifetime and still cannot scare life's lessons out of the wild flowers. Don't ever judge a dog by a human standard. They are first class dogs and we are all second class human beings by comparison.
