Congrats , you looked absolutely gorgeous on your your big dayπ°ββοΈπ
Lashes done by yours truly.

During consultations with my bridal clients, I would ask them what their desired lashes would look like. Then I would get them to do a trial set 1-2 months prior to their wedding date. During this process, I would make tweaks and adjustments during their fills and recommend they take lots of photos and videos to see if they like how their lashes look. Lastly, I would get them to come for a final fill (a few days prior to the wedding β never the day of, to reduce any chance of their eyes getting red or irritated). And voila πͺ
Happy Fluffy Friyay!
Wishing everyone a safe and amazing long weekend.

Just because your clients CAN go four weeks between fills doesn't mean they should.
Heavy, grown-out lash extensions will also do damage to clients' natural lashes. The weight pressing against the natural lashes may cause them to fall out prematurely, leading to decreased lash health and retention in the future.
We recommend telling clients to pre-book their fills two to three weeks after the initial set. You can thank us later!
ππ»however, there are a few clients that can go past 4 weeks, but itβs extremely rare and it depends on their natural growth cycle

Thereβs no secret when it comes to π π¨π¨π π«ππππ§ππ’π¨π§. Itβs the combined efforts between the lash artist and the client.
Lash Artist:
1. Work on squeaky clean lashes π§Ό
2. Proper isolation
3. Using βenoughβ adhesive
4. Proper bonding
5. Determine the correct weight/length for the natural lash
Client:
1. Clean your lashes everyday!
2. Do not rub or pull your lashes
3. Wear little/no make-up (if you do, cleanse properly with a lash cleanser)
4. Come back for a fill every 2-5 weeks (depending on your lash cycle)

1. The dark lash line gives the illusion of a liner effect

Lash artists greatest weapons are their tools. And in this case, Iβm talking about π©π¬πππ―ππ§π¨!
Anyone who knows me, knows I love a good B-O-O-T tweezer. Short, long, thin or thick, I donβt discriminate. But there are a few key components that I look for in a tweezer π
1. Quality - Japanese stainless steel have worked best for me (and does not rust)
2. Weight - you are going to be working with these babies for long periods of time, so make sure it does not stress your wrists and βπ»
3. Length - this is a preference, but I prefer a regular/short tweezer
4. SWEET SPOT - the bigger the better
And for someone who literally owns over 40 different pair of tweezers, Iβve narrowed it down to these four. In the video, I am demonstrating how I create a fan with each of my fav tweezer (youβll need to check out my reel for exact details and brands)π
Happy fan making!

We could all use a DD set to push us through the hard times. As some of you know, Toronto is currently in the grey zone and will likely stay in this zone for another few weeks.
On the brighter side, I will be done school in 3 weeks! So once things reopen, I can fully get back into the swing of things (plus offer new services π).
I miss you all so much and canβt wait to catch up. Stay safe and warm until then.

π§ The breakdown:
This client naturally has super dense, thick, long and straight lashes. By adding DD curls into the set, it really helps lift those flat and straight lashes. It also looks great when they start to grow out because of its intense curl. With her universal almond eye shape, she could pretty much rock any style. However, in this set we aimed to create an βopen eyeβ look. By adding longer lengths in the centre, this created height to the overall eye giving the illusion of a βfresh and awakeβ look.

ππ¨π«π«ππππ’π―π πππ¬π‘π’π§π is an important skill to have as a lash artist. Why? Because you will come across many different types of natural lashes (straight, curly, mixed, etc) that may require correcting. When this happens, you can redirect any βπΈπ°π―π¬πΊβ lashes that may come your way.
I hope no one takes offence when I use the word βwonky.β Itβs just a term I use to describe any natural lash that grow out of place. Your clientsβ lashes may naturally grow this way or it could be from added pressure on the lashes. For example, the model in the video (my boyfriend) likes to wear his glasses π really close to his face, hence pressing his natural lashes against the lens, which then caused it to turn in the opposite direction. I too, personally have some wonky lashes in the inner/outer corners from sleeping on my sides or from rubbing my eyes.
*Tip: while lashing, use your lash mirror to check your work frequently to ensure nothing is out of place
Nonetheless, I hoped you enjoyed this video. Cheers to more lash knowledge... and Iβll catch you next time. βπ»
ππ’π€π, πππ―π ππ§π ππ‘ππ«π π thank you.
ππ»Shout out to my boyfriend for being such a good model (yes, those are his lashes in the video and photo demo).
