Some of the best Bare Body Butters products were never planned — they were created because someone needed them.

About five years ago, a friend of mine who loved Bare Body Butters shea butter products asked me a simple question:

“Do you make anything for sore muscles?”

At the time, I didn’t.

But she was a runner, and I wanted to create something specifically for her, so I started researching essential oils and ingredients known for soothing tired, achy muscles. After lots of experimenting, Soothe was born — a comforting blend of whipped raw shea butter with lavender, eucalyptus, marjoram, and peppermint essential oils.

She loved it.

Then I started bringing Soothe to markets… and before long, it became one of the most-loved products in the entire Bare Body Butters line. Over the years, I’ve made more tubs of Soothe than I could ever count — and hearing how many people reach for it after long work days, workouts, stress, sore shoulders, aching backs, and tired legs has honestly meant the world to me.
