Great article and really hilights the neuroimmune systems role in pain.

Pain usually isn’t about “tight tissue” or “not enough pressure.” It’s about a sensitized nervous system — and glia are right in the middle of that process.

When these cells stay on high alert, they release inflammatory signals, ramp up protection, and keep people stuck in pain. And the beautiful part?
You don’t fix that by digging harder.
You fix it by giving the nervous system better information.

Which is exactly what we focus on with RAPID and why our technique works so well.

Our neurofascial approach calms those protective patterns, reduces the threat response, and helps the whole system down-regulate without wrecking your body in the process.

Glia are the “unsung protectors” in pain… and they’re also a great reminder that real change happens in the nervous system, not from brute force.

Join us today to learn more about the neuroimmune system and how knowing about it will set your practice on fire!!

One of my most recent RAPID patients was referred to me by a local chiro- she is 97 years old. She comes for the same RAPID treatment that everyone else comes for with a few slight modifications for her inability to move and balance on a massage table. I cannot even begin to tell you how pleased she is with her treatments. She has come 3 times and now wants to set up weekly appointments. Why is she so happy? She feels she now has more energy(of course she does because she isn't fighting through the glue of adhesion everywhere), her incontinence is better (because she had a locked up diaphragm and coccygeal ligaments), and she can move freely without pain(because her neurological system has reduced the tissue tone and pain sensations around her body). Imagine what we can accomplish for a 25 year old if we can do this for a 97 year old?

RAPID, Substance P and Stem Cells… SAY WHAT???

If you know RAPID you know that one of our main goals is to stimulate the release of substance P.

Science is showing increasing support for the role of substance P in mobilizing endogenous mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for improved tissue repair and inflammation regulation following bone injuries.

Meaning SP stimulates the body’s own endogenous stem cells to move from their storage sites-such as bone marrow into the bloodstream or to the site of injury or tissue damage.

From the study…

-Substance P promoted the mobilization of endogenous MCS’s.

-In cases of transplanted MSCs the transplanted cells often show survivability issues which hampers the outcome of regeneration.

-Intravenous substance P has been shown to mobilize endogenous MSCs, which is superior to their transplanted counterparts.

-Endogenous MSCs are located in different adult tissues and can move to an injury site when activated.

-MCSs can turn into various cell types, but they also help control inflammation after an injury, which supports tissue repair.

-Recent studies have shown that substance P, which acts as a messenger triggered by injury, can play a role early in the wound healing process by mobilizing MSCs from the bone marrow into the bloodstream.
