3 years ago, we threw a launch party that marked the end of an era.

It was the launch of the Atlas Rose rebrand—the evolution of what many of you knew as Prairie Bliss Botanicals.
We were standing in our home in Saskatoon, by the indoor pool, surrounded by friends, family, and employees and a decade of history. It was the last time we’d ever gather in that space before our move to Kelowna.
That party symbolized a massive pivot. We sold the medical spa, and Andy went back into construction so I could pour every ounce of my energy into Atlas Rose.

I didn’t just change the labels. I went back into the lab. I took my original formulations—the ones that saved my own skin—and tweaked them for even better consistency and higher activity. I wanted medical-grade results with the same organic soul.

Transitioning isn’t always a straight line up. Last year was a grind—we lost wholesale accounts and felt the weight of the shift. But 2026 has brought a new energy. The orders are flowing, the wholesalers are back, and the vision is clearer than ever.
Wholesalers are returning, new customers are discovering us, and the momentum feels different.

Why Atlas Rose does not have samples?

A. The reason Atlas Rose doesn’t have samples is they are wasteful. We have reduced our non-recyclable waste by approximate 30,000 units per year by not producing sample packaging.

Also let’s be honest most samples end up straight in the trash unused and wasted.

What is the difference between Retinol and Retinoic Acid?

Vitamin A (Retinoids) exists in several forms, including retinyl esters, retinol, retinaldehyde, and retinoic acid.

Retinoic acid is the bioactive form that interacts directly with skin cells. All other forms must undergo enzymatic conversion within the skin to become retinoic acid.
Retinoic acid is a prescription-strength pharmaceutical used to treat acne and photoaging. While highly potent, it often causes significant transepidermal water loss, erythema, and photosensitivity. Skin can become damaged.

Retinol is the standard over-the-counter alternative; it promotes cellular turnover and collagen synthesis with a low risk of irritation.

The Atlas Rose Complex Retinol + serum utilizes a 0.5% concentration encapsulated in a natural sugar complex. This delivery system, paired with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid, ensures the vitamin A is delivered effectively while maintaining barrier integrity. This formulation provides the clinical benefits of cellular renewal without the aggressive sloughing or inflammation associated with prescription-grade retinoids.
