Undertones.

Most PMU pigment contains warm undertones - whether it's red, yellow or white. Depending on the type of pigment used and the level of saturation, it may be difficult to SAFELY lift the pigment.

Safely in all caps because we most certainly could get rid of the pigment at a very strong setting. But treating too aggressively would come with complications that you wouldn't want.

Safety comes first at Studio Kiku. If we can get the pigment out then great! But we won't take risks with your skin.

There are definitely some undertones which we'll target during the next session. But this was a great start with no damage to the skin or the hair follicles.

When we target the undertones, we'll be using the 532 wavelength which, with more lasers on the market, can be tricky. Not with the PicoWay though! We have a treatment protocol in place for all skin tones that's safe.

Scar tissue.

We always get asked if the skin will be scarred when the tattoo is gone. Take a very close look at the before photo and you'll see there is scar tissue already there from the tattoo application.

So, once the tattoo pigment faded, the bareness of her skin revealed the scars that were underneath the tattoo.
