Looks like snow, but makes you say "Oh no!"? 🌨️❄️

In the spring, cottonwood trees spread fine windborne particles that can easily enter our mouths and noses and set off allergic reactions such as itching and sneezing. 🤧

Besides taking an antihistamine, one of the best things you can do to ease your allergies is to try to prevent those particles from entering your airways. This is easily achieved using a face mask or face covering while outside. 😷

Even once we are no longer masking up for the pandemic, you may want to keep those masks around to use during allergy and flu season. ✅

Some other great tips for allergy sufferers:
🌼 Use a nasal rinse when you get home to wash out allergens
🌼 Change your clothes and take a shower to reduce pollen on yourself and to prevent transferring the pollen to your furniture
🌼 Keep windows closed
🌼 Wash your bedding more frequently (especially if you do have windows open)
🌼 Invest in an air purifier and ensure you change the filter as recommended
🌼 Check the pollen index and stay inside when counts are high
