1. Maybelline: While affordable and widely available, some of their products contain ingredients like parabens and synthetic fragrances that can irritate sensitive skin.
2. L'Oréal: Similar to Maybelline, L'Oréal sometimes includes alcohol and strong fragrances in their formulas, which can lead to dryness and irritation.
3. MAC Cosmetics: Known for high-pigment products, MAC can sometimes be heavy and occlusive, potentially clogging pores for those prone to acne.
4. CoverGirl: Some CoverGirl products contain talc and parabens, which have been flagged as potential irritants and hormone disruptors.
5. Revlon: Certain Revlon products have been criticized for using preservatives like formaldehyde-releasing agents, which can cause allergic reactions in some people.

It's always a good idea to check the ingredient list and do a patch test when trying new products!

Today I got to do makeup for the the "Aboriginal Mother Centre Society."
The Society is dedicated to moving mothers and children at risk off the streets, provides under one roof, all the support, tools and resources a mother needs to rebuild her health, self esteem and skills to regain and retain her child. The centre, grounded in a grass roots setting, creates a healing community to nurture children and families to become vital members of their communities.

It was my honor to be a part of Maya Paige's vision. This was her planned event. Rest in peace Maya! I think you would've been proud of today's turnout ❤️‍🩹

I had an amazing time doing both hair and makeup for Jessica Mackenzie, the very first Miss Indigenous, Canada 👑 for her first official photoshoot! 📷
To say it was an honor to be a part of it all would be an understatement!
This was a day that will remain in my heart forever!
