With gel manicures being such a popular beauty treatment that many women have worked into their regular routines every two-three weeks, it is important to highlight that all nail lamps emit UV radiation to cure gel polish.

The scientific literature confirms the sun's UV rays and those emitted from artificial sources, like tanning beds are damaging to our skin and the effects are cumulative.
When it comes to nail lamp UV exposure, there is a limited but growing body of evidence that suggests these devices also pose an increased risk of skin damage, including premature aging and increased risk of skin cancer. As a result, Dermatologists and other medical professionals recommend you protect your hands' skin in nail lamps.

Solutions recommended are:
