For cover-ups (tattooing over a previous artist’s faded work), please be prepared to go at least 2 shades darker especially if your faded brows have spotty, uneven saturation (see slide 3). This is to ensure your new tattoo covers the old work with uniformity. As the brows heal the colour will soften and lighten to appear more natural 😌.

Adoring the new shape we designed for this client over her faded previous tattoo (not my work) 🫶🏻.

Previous tattoos must be nearly faded like this in order to be eligible for a cover-up. You must be willing to go up to two shades darker, but the colour softens up during healing— this is guaranteed.

There was slight bulbing at the fronts, so we tightened those up. Her tails were on the shorter side, so we extended them just enough to frame her eyes and lashes better. Don’t the redefined arches suit her well?
