Hey you! Hope you're doing well ♥️ I haven't played around with makeup for a hot minute. I lost my Dad back in August and my heart just hasn't been in it. I've also stopped beading for now. I just don't want to pass this energy onto anyone else so I've taken a step back.

It hasn't been easy. So. I goof off like this and do things like this to pull me out of that mind space when I feel up to it. It's not the most elaborate makeup, it's not scary, but I did it. Even if it's just some eyeshadow and mascara; it made me feel happy for a few minutes out of my day. Most days I'm trying to figure out my emotions. We didn't have the best or great relationship but I love him and I do still miss him.

I'm doing okay; I come from some strong resilient ancestors and I'm taking care as best as I can. My Nana used to say "We're that good ol' Alberta stock". I can still hear her reminding me. 🥺♥️
Grief is hard and there is no one way to grieve. Everyone grieves differently. Be gentle with yourself and understanding.

So my Husband and I are finally taking our honeymoon this weekend. Heading to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I'm so looking forward to just relaxing on a beach and just being. It will be a good time for me to recharge, clear my head, and hopefully come back feeling better.
