A proud moment for our founder.
Al Vigier, who started Jusu in 2017 and reacquired the brand earlier this year, has just been named to the 2026 Vancouver50. Scale Up Canada's jury picks fifty Vancouver companies each year they believe will scale globally. The recognition is for Caseway, the legal AI company Al Vigier is also building.
Two companies, one founder, the same instinct: build things that actually help people. One brings plant-based wellness into more homes. The other gives people locked out of the legal system a way in.
Congrats Al.
Caseway named to the Scale Up Canada 2026 Vancouver50 - Advocate Daily Caseway has been named to the 2026 Vancouver50 by Scale Up Canada, joining Hydra Energy, MetaOptima and other top BC scaleups.

Good people, good food, golden hour over the water š
Our founder Al hosted a gathering at his place in North Van this weekend. Founders, builders, and friends of the brand came together for an afternoon of great conversation and way too much food.
Jusu is back under original ownership, and community has always been at the heart of what we do. If you're a Jusu fan, a local builder, or just someone doing cool things in Vancouver, we'd love to connect.

We ran Jusu through the Think Dirty app.
We only saw the older line. But it was the same result... Clean.
A lot of brands āget cleanā when it becomes trendy. But then they reformulate, rebrand, and hope nobody checks what was in their products before (and most of the time people just forget.)
It's a great way to scam your customers, and increase your profit margins.
But no thank you.
Jusu was built clean from the start, and itās staying that way.

We want to be transparent about something we saw while testing one of our formulas.
Some of the ingredients in this formula are there to deeply nourish and support the skin, including rose water, aloe, shea butter, mango butter, evening primrose, argan, avocado, and borage.
These are included to help moisturize, soften, and support the skin barrier. We also use ingredients like lactobacillus ferment and vitamin E for preservation support and antioxidant benefits.
At the same time, the formula also includes botanical extracts and essential oils such as lavender, rosemary, citrus, neroli, jasmine, frankincense, fennel, litsea cubeba, and others.
These can contribute to the overall sensory experience and product identity, but on more reactive skin they can also increase the chance of visible redness or irritation.
So this raises a real formulation question for us.
Do we keep these ingredients because they add character, scent, and a more botanical experience?
Or do we remove some of them to make the product gentler, simpler, and better suited for sensitive facial skin?
We are seriously reviewing that now, and we would genuinely like your input.
Would you rather see us keep the richer botanical profile, or strip back some of the more potentially irritating ingredients to create a calmer formula?

We ran Jusu through the Yuka āclean checkerā app.
Result: Excellant rating!
Most products that claim to be clean donāt hold up when you run them through independent scanners. They rely on marketing language, not ingredient transparency.
-Simple, recognizable ingredients
-No unnecessary additives
-Formulations that pass third-party scrutiny
This is what clean skincare should look like when you strip away the branding.
If youāre using Yuka (or any ingredient scanner), run your current products through it.
Then compare.
Jusu isnāt built to sound clean. Itās built to actually be clean.
Coming back to market soon!

This one might be a little too effective š
We spent years making skincare people actually want to use⦠turns out all we needed was a cardboard box and a stick.
Jusu has always been about simple, clean, honest products that people come back to. No gimmicks. Just stuff that works.
ā¦but if this helps get it into more hands...

Entrepreneurship rarely moves in straight lines.
Sometimes you build something new.
Sometimes you invest in someone elseās idea.
And sometimes you come back to something unfinished.
That is exactly what happened with Jusu.
Rebuilding Jusu: Why I Acquired a Wellness Brand By Alistair Vigier

Austin has been a great reminder of why we brought Jusu back.
SXSW is full of conversations about technology, AI, and the future of business. But between panels, meetings, and late-night events, something else becomes obvious pretty quickly. People are tired. They are running on coffee, sugar, and not enough sleep.
That is exactly why wellness matters.
Over the last few days in Austin Iāve been speaking, meeting founders, connecting with investors, and spending time with people building interesting companies.
In the middle of all of that, I have also been carrying around a couple of Jusu products and sharing them with people who are curious about what we are rebuilding.
The reaction has been the same almost every time.
People immediately understand the idea of simple, natural skincare that actually works. No complicated routines. No mystery ingredients. Just high-quality formulations that help people take care of themselves.
SXSW is an intense week. Long days, late nights, packed schedules. It is also the kind of environment where people start thinking about balance again. Work, health, energy, and how they actually want to live.
Seeing Jusu sitting by the water in Austin this week felt like a small preview of where we are going with the brand.
Good products. Good people. Good conversations.
And a lot of fun along the way.
Austin has been a blast. šæ

We hosted a small Jusu-sponsored gathering at the house, and it turned into one of those evenings that reminds you why bringing interesting people together is always worth it.
Great food, great conversations, and a mix of friends from tech, law, wellness, and entrepreneurship all in one room. We ended up talking about everything from AI and startups to skincare and business ideas, with a lot of laughs in between.
Jusu has always been about community as much as products, so it felt fitting to have everyone together for a relaxed night of good discussion and good energy.
Already looking forward to the next one. š
