My first breast ultrasound at the age of 37.

Most countries, Canada included, don’t encourage, let alone cover the cost of mammograms until the age of 40 unless you are considered high risk or have noticeable symptoms. This is incongruent with the data that breast cancer is increasingly affecting younger women, with a sharp increase in cases for women in their 20s and 30s.

I went to for an ultrasound, a more effective way to scan for abnormalities in dense breast tissue, which most women have.

+ got to take a breast oil home :)
