HELP FEED THE CATS

Catoro is an East Van rescue cat cafe just four blocks over from us. They are our neighbours, we adore the work they do, and right now the food for all their little cats is going out faster than it’s coming in.

Those kitties are hungry, they need our help.

We love animals. Most of us have pets; we love cats, we love dogs (especially when they visit the salon 🐶), and our feed is about 1/3 pets. So this was never a question, we want to help!

You can also help by bringing cat food to the salon any time we’re open, or add a donation to your bill. WET FOOD is the biggest need, but treats, toppers and toys help too. Nothing goes to waste.

As a thank you for every donation, your name goes in the draw for a Field Trip x Catoro gift basket worth over $500 — cat cafe passes, a $100 gift card, and a pile of our favourite things ✨

We were so delighted to join Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House for their Pride BBQ Party and do PWYC haircuts at the event. So nice to meet more of our community, share some laughs and help raise money for such a great cause.

Why we’re a text only salon

Our phone is on silent. Always. And we never pick up, that’s completely intentional.

With no receptionist, we choose to give all our attention to the human in our chair. No rushing away for a phone grab. Just us, focused entirely on you and your hair.

While you’re in our chair, that time is completely yours.

✨ Everything’s in writing — times, quotes, details, and you can send inspo pics + your current hair ✨ Nothing gets missed ✨ You’re talking to your stylist, not a front desk relay ✨ Your appointment time stays uninterrupted.

A quick note on hours: we answer texts during business hours, when we have a free moment — we need our sleep to do good hair 😴. Emails, though — those we answer anytime, and you’ll get a real reply, not a bot. We promise to get back to you as soon as we can 💘
