I look forward to these beautiful bunches every summer. The lovely Elly works so hard every spring to winter growing such interesting flowers at her farm in Burnaby. You can purchase a CSA in the autumn for the following summer, or find her bouquets at farm stand on Saturdays. Friends, a quick mask update. While it’s exciting that we’re in this phase where we can start loosening up, in order to keep everyone safe while in the studio, I will be continuing requiring masks until further notice. My arms are just not long enough to be 6 feet away from you! Your support this past year has been incredible and I am forever grateful. xo

We’ve all learned about the heartbreaking discoveries across Canada in recent weeks, and it’s been sitting heavily in my heart.

My mixed heritage stands between being indigenous to Malaysia - where I was born and grew up. And part of me is a Chinese settler on Malaysian land. This, alongside being a woman of colour in Canada, I’m also an invited settler on Turtle Island.

There have been a lot to unpack this past year. With so much violence, hatred, fear and heartbreak.

We cannot change what has already happened, but it’s important that we learn about what did happen, and how it impacted their families and survivors. And learn how we can ensure that nothing like this happens again.

I invite you to join me in reading the Truth and Reconciliation Report and Calls to Action & the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls 231 Calls for Justice. They’re both available online.

Starting with June, I will be donating 2% of sales monthly, rotating between the Indian Reservation School Society, and .
