I returned from my mat leave early (December 2021) because I missed the work & I was so excited about the growth that was happening.

In 2022 we became a full-time team of 3, opened a second treatment room, introduced microneedling, LED, microdermabrasion, gua sha & lymphatic drainage techniques, and the AFA Antioxidant Peel. It was a lot of growth & some amazing skin results!

It’s one of the most well researched skincare ingredients and it has powerful benefits for the skin BUT, it can also be a source of irritation if you’re barrier is impaired or if you rush the process of introducing into your routine.

What will this ingredient do for you? Here’s a breakdown:

- normalizes the cell renewal which has a few benefits: reduction in acne lesions and activation of collagen synthesis.
- normalizes sebum production. This applies to all skin types—if you’re producing too much sebum, it will lessen. Likewise, if your skin is dry, it will increase sebum production to reduce dryness.
- strengthens the skin barrier which helps to maintain skin hydration, lessen fine lines and improve skin texture and radiance.
- improves skin tone by inhibiting the production of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in the production of melanin in the skin.
