Getting your hair and make-up professionally done is a great idea before any photo session. But I HIGHLY recommend it for newborn sessions even if you're great at doing it yourself. Not only are you exhausted, but it can be difficult to get the time to do it. I very vividly remember trying to make a 'real dinner' for the first time after my new baby and after 4 hours of him not letting me put him down for more than 5 minutes I sat sobbing into my pile of half peeled potatoes wondering how I was ever going to accomplish anything again.
There are some really talented mobile ladies who will come to you and get you looking your best, even if you don't feel it so you can relax and focus on keeping that baby happy!

94-year-old hair stylist Marion Stout has just started her new job at a local hair salon!

With 78 years’ experience in women's hair styling it would've been hard to say no! Marion began her career aged 16 and recently became unemployed after the salon she had worked at for the last 40 years closed.

Instead of taking retirement as most would, Marion has such passion for her work that she printed off a few CVs and visited local salons.

Marion is now working 4 days a week at a new salon and 10 of her former clients have even followed her!

"I can help it I never want to retire, because I love what I do!"
