What an absolute pleasure to reconnect with my dear friends and mentors, Val and David Prior, British-Canadian hairdressing icons, in beautiful Waikiki, Hawaii! Cheers to perfect timing and cherished memories.

I had the privilege of working with Val and Dave from 1998 to 2002 at their iconic salons, Rumours on Robson Street and the Hornby Street location in Vancouver. Their guidance and mentorship played a pivotal role in inspiring me to open two Red Ruby Hair Studio locations, which I successfully operated from 2005 to 2019.

While I’ve transitioned from salon ownership, I’m still passionately working as a freelance hairstylist under PattiKoolHair / Red Ruby Hair Studio, based in the Vancouver Block downtown. I now rent space at Bliss Hair Studio, working alongside my talented friend Kirstin.

I’m forever grateful for the knowledge, support, and kindness Val and Dave have shared with me over the years. Love you both ❤️❤️😘
