Mastering Nano has been a whole new skill set. I’ve been certified 4x and have learned multiple techniques and hand movements. Every artist works differently so it’s key to continue practicing and learning in order to master your own technique and what works best for you 🤍

Needles I love are:
0.33mm 1RL, sooo precise and crispy
0603RL for the spine and foundational strokes
0.25mm 5CF for more sensitive skin (and working with CF configuration is fun 🤩)

… 🪄 I’m starting to phase some clients out of it, although some are still great candidates. What do I mean? Let’s talk about it 👇🏽

Microblading is a tattoo, and so are Nano brows.
Microblading uses a tiny blade with multiple tiny pins at the end of a hand tool and glides on the skin. ✍🏽
Nano utilizes a tattoo machine, and the single needle in the cartridge deposits the pigment. 🪡

Microblading is great for low-textured skin that is fairly normal/dry. I have achieved great healed results on oily, thicker skin types over the 8 years I’ve tattooed. But generally speaking the strokes will become a bit more “blurry” than on dry skin over time. 🌫️

Nano brows take longer to perform and in my opinion, more technical skill. That said, the results are extremely satisfying to me as an artist. The strokes are more “airy”, and while marginally different, the skin typically shows less signs of trauma. ❤️‍🩹

This first two photos are examples of Microblading on dry, smooth skin.

The last 2 are combo brows with nano in the front. Harder to see I’m photos, but these clients had thicker, oilier skin type with more visible texture 〰️

You blink and 10 years has gone by. The present moment is all we have, and we can stretch it enormously, if we sink a bit deeper into its richness.

Holding space for all the innocent women and children who are casualties of greed and corruption. To all those who are struggling for basic human dignity. I hold space for everyone, on any side, who is simply broken and hurting. Humanity can do so much better, and I continue to carry a torch that we are learning within our selves and our communities, and eventually, we will. ❤️‍🔥🙏🏽
