This one hits close to home. In high school, a group of us used to gather at my friend Alyssa’s house for Dawson’s Creek nights. Back then, James Van Der Beek was just a character on a screen - part of the soundtrack of growing up. We didn’t know each other. But his passing at 48… hit me. And the message he shared before he left is profound. This past year forced me to wrestle with a similar question in my own way - when roles get stripped, when titles fall away, when you can’t be the protector, the strong one… who are you then? James said something powerful: When everything he used to define himself by was taken away, he was left with this truth - He was worthy of God’s love simply because he existed. And if that’s true… then he was worthy of his own love too. That resonates deeply. Because so many of us define ourselves by what we do. How we provide. How we perform. How we show up for everyone else. But what if our worth was never tied to our output? Sending love to his family, his kids, and everyone grieving right now. And maybe let this be the reminder: You are not your title. You are not your role. You are not your achievement. You are worthy of love - simply because you’re here. Hold your people a little tighter today. 🤍 Comment if his message speaks to you too. Follow If you’re on a similar journey. Share to pass on a small part of James legacy 🙏🏻 02/13/2026
