Here's what to keep in mind before your next session:

• Shave the treatment area 24 hours before (no waxing or plucking)
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks prior
• Skip retinol, AHAs, and self-tanner 5-7 days before

And after your session:

• Apply SPF 30+ daily and avoid direct sun
