Kharma KARES

We are incredibly excited to introduce the stunning winner of our Kharma Kares Campaign Carla.

6 years ago, Carla fell and broke her wrist and ended up developing CRPS disorder. While getting testing done for this disorder, an MRI ended up being her saving grace. They discovered Carla had lung AND skin cancer. She underwent surgery to remove 1 lung, and also had the skin cancer removed from her face. The surgeries were a success, and her yearly check-ups have been positive.

Discovering she had lung and skin cancer was one of the scariest moments for Carla and her families lives, (as you can imagine). After her CRPS disorder, cancer and recovery, she felt like she had “lost” herself in the last 6 years. On top of that, being high-risk during a pandemic, means Carla was not able to do much for herself, work was limited, and rarely saw family and friends.

Her incredible daughter Rylee nominated her.

“There are not enough words or gestures to thank my mom for everything she’s done for everyone else and myself, but I know getting chosen for this makeover would be the best thing that has happened to her in a long time, and I honestly just want her to feel good about herself and be happy, like she makes everyone else feel around her. She puts everyone before herself, especially me. She is so caring, has the biggest heart and is the strongest person I know. She deserves the entire world and more. ”

Carla, your resilience is an inspiration to us all. Thank you for all that you do for your family and friends. We feel honoured to be have been able to pamper/spoil you! You deserve it all!
