So today is official. My work as a cosmetic and medical tattooist is done.
As you may know I took great honour and pride in my work over the years helping breast cancer survivors leave cancer behind with 3D ar**la tattoos among other services.
Unfortunately my own health issues forced me to leave pigments and needles aside to focus on my own health.
The Breast health navigator just brought tears to my eyes saying that I made a difference in people’s lives. I tried to bring a smile on their faces as much as I could. And these smiles will stay forever in my memories.
I am referring now my faithful clientele to a dear colleague of mine and I want to introduce her services here as well. Her name is Shauna at https://www.beautyink.ca/

My patient today had a very long journey.. 10 years passed since the diagnosis post mammogram…. Then ablation.. reconstruction… skin graft… breast lift to match the size and shape of her new breast.

And today I was at the final stage of this long and painful journey. **latattoo on flat skin with an illusion of protrusion of the ni**le. that will blend in with the surrounding skin. **larscar camouflage on the other breast. Micropigmentation is a layering process and involves a teamwork with the patient who needs to respect a thorough aftercare.

First session today of and . Doesn’t she look gorgeous?! 😍 Again micropigmentation is a process ! The shape/colour will be perfected at the touchup appointment as I mentioned before.
Less is more so I always proceed in layers in order to monitor the pigment retention and respect skin integrity.

What do healed look like over the years ? This lady came to see me for the first time 7 years ago. Since then I have done couple of colour boost for her brows. This is what permanent makeup is all about! No cookie cutter brows, No scar tissue due to poor microblading, No funky colours like grey or purple brows. But a soft brow that healed well over the years and will get refreshed for another few years maintenance free. If you look for long lasting results while respecting skin integrity then permanent makeup could be the solution. Of course a consultation with a thorough assessment of your skin while reviewing your lifestyle and medical conditions will determine if you’re a good candidate for the procedure.

First session of right after procedure. Slight redness and overall little discomfort during the session. Again micropigmentation is a process ! The colour will naturally fade during the healing process and the shape/colour will be perfected at the follow up appointment.
Less is more so I always proceed in layers in order to monitor the pigment retention with 1-2 shades lighter than the target colour. The colour looks much warmer than it will when healed. This is because the skin underneath is red & irritated from being tattooed on. This makes the pigment appear warmer and more red/orange than it will when fully healed. Target colour will be achieved at the second session.

As you know micropigmentation is not a maintenance free procedure and pigments fade overtime to a lighter version of themselves.
So I wanted to give you few updates on our practice here.
All our 3D Ar**la treatments will remain complimentary for breast cancer survivors and their follow up sessions.
