My cozy little corner of the world...its coming along :)
Just want to jump on and let everyone know that I will be having clients, and myself, wear a mask that I will provide during service. Also, because I am working in my home and David is immune compromised because of his transplant, I will only be able to see fully vaccinated clients.
Pretty happy to announce I will be re-opening Nov 15 :)

Kristines nails will remain closed for the time being. I know that many nail techs are back working again but it is my understanding that there is no way I can completely protect myself from Covid-19. I can mitigate the risk but I cant eliminate it.
I am touching people for over an hour per appt and the possibly contaminated dust that is created is impossible to control.
I have to protect myself for my family. As many of you know my husband has had a lung transplant, he has zero immunity so for us, the risk is too great. Let's all hope they find a way to eliminate this virus and we can all go back to living our lives. I will let you all know when I'm ready to start taking clients again. Take care everyone and stay safe.
The ban on personal services has been lifted and many salons are opening. I will not be opening until sometime in June when I can expect to have all the PPE I require in place. Much of what I need is back-ordered but I'll let you all know when I'm ready. Stay safe 🙂

My Salon Life / Lessons: Exceptional People
I’m seeing this on too many tech’s pages not to address it. The Entitled...messaging them about getting their nails done. Oh, and ALL of them are strangers. (I’m proud to say not a single one of my devoted clients have asked for special treatment.)
The messages come from folks who have never supported our independent business, but are now reaching out because their 200 customers a day place at the mall is closed. And guess what, so are we. Yes, even those with home based salons. Closed.
Hundreds of thousands of salon professionals are wringing their hands, losing income, and freaking out right now. Infected people are still running around, prolonging the spread and keeping us locked out for the unforeseen future.
On behalf of all of us, knock it off.
Stop bullying for an appointment. You are not special. In fact, you’re less important to us than you think. We’re not honored that you reached out to us when you never have before. It’s actually insulting.
When this is all over, we know you’ll be back taking a seat at Walmart, waiting for your number to be called.
