Jordyn’s Esthetics

After a lot of thought and hard decisions, I’ve decided to step away from my esthetics business to focus on my schooling and begin a new chapter in my life. As lots of you know I’ve been taking my office administration program online. I have decided to do my school full time as I only have a little bit left of my certificate. This is not a goodbye forever, it is goodbye for now, as I still am passionate and enjoy esthetics and would like to accept clients in the future.

My last day at Tessa’s salon will be September 12th.

To my clients:
I’m so grateful for every single client who has walked through my door, whether it’s at Wrapture Spa in Moose Jaw, Karma Salon or Tessa’s Beauty and Wellness. You’ve made this journey so fun and memorable. Thank you for all the support, love, and memories. I have enjoyed working with you, hearing many stories and life updates. I thank you and will cherish the many friendships I have made along the way.

To my coworkers: (get out your Kleenexes)
Tessa’s Beauty and Wellness is an amazing place to work and I’m definitely going to miss the atmosphere, my girls and my clients. My coworkers have became my best friends and I’m very sad to leave them and the wonderful, safe place they have made. The salon is always filled with laughter and your day is brightened right when you walk through the salon doors.

I will miss Jenn’s insatiable love and care for others. She is our mother hen and takes care of all of us. She is talented in hair and can also do her own nails and her own tattoos fabulously!

I will miss Demara’s secret genius she has hidden in her that has so much knowledge of esthetics and hair. I guess I will miss her sass and might actually miss being bullied everyday (friendly bullying). What I may not miss about Demara is her rearranging all of my nail polish bottles so that they are not organized by their colour anymore. I will also start practicing in my daily life to not walk around like an elephant, as I am apparently always stomping.

I will miss Tessa’s infectious laugh that lights up the room. She is always laughing no matter what is going on in her life. She is extremely talented with nail art and will never say no to any client, which I find absolutely incredible. She is up for any challenge. **But might not like to draw any more Grinch’s and possibly Canada flags anytime soon haha. Tessa has been my other mother for a year now and me moving on would be like her child moving on to college. I will always come back and visit. I will forever miss being called “Little Miss”.

I will even miss little Tetley. We had a sibling bond that nobody understood, even I didn’t understand. We had a sibling feud everyday. We got along at 9am but by the time it was 9:05am he forgot that he was so excited to see me walk through the door. He has taught me a lot on how to take care of my own puppy.

The girls have taught me so much whether it’s about life skills, my esthetics and techniques, how to be professional and how to be happy and most importantly how to be and love myself. I wish nothing but the best for my girls at Tessa’s and they will always hold a special place in my heart. The girls at the salon aren’t just my coworkers they are my family and I will miss you guys dearly.

Thank you all for your support throughout my three years of being in the esthetics industry! Here’s to the next chapter! Cheers!

Gel nails are a newer service to me. I am still working on my technique, skill and speed. With each set of nails I do, I am improving. At the moment gel nails are taking me around 2.5-3 hours. Please understand that I take longer at gel nails than Tessa and Demara do. I am a perfectionist and am focusing on my technique. So at the moment I’m not doing much nail art until I feel more comfortable. Tessa and Demara are great teachers, give me great pointers and are helping me improve everyday!
