It’s that time of year again......

The dreaded Spring Shed 🌸🌺...
Don’t worry, this too shall pass.

Along with warmer weather, our bodies shed to get ready for warmer months ahead, including our head hair and eyelashes.

In a nut shell 🥜, we have hair to protect us from the sun ☀️, in the Spring coinciding with the time change🕑, we no longer need as much hair so we start to shed it.

This is for animals as well. In order for our bodies to produce hair it must pump blood to those cells. But in the winter when our immunity is lower and lack of vitamin d, our bodies will divert blood to our major organs instead of hair which we no longer need. This lasts for about six weeks. Don’t panic it’s completely normal twice a year, Fall and Spring.
