So it turns out sitting in the blazing noon sun with high fat soap is a BAD IDEA. It melts. We ended up packing up after an hour and scurrying for the cool and dark before we had puddles instead of bars. We're going to go back to Victoria's Flowers tomorrow with some portable shade!

The new mold works great, and the Elfshot came right out. It's steadily changing colour as the soap cures, is going to be interesting to see where it ends up.

The new mold works great! Two batches at once, on one side Elfshot, on the other Will O' Whisp. The Elfshot is already curing, and by morning the Will O' Whisp will be turning white. This is always so rewarding!

This is what soap looks like when you make it with yellow and red roses and wildflower honey. We're calling this one "Elfshot". Louis pointed out to me this was our first non-vegan soap, in got to have to put up a sign.

We're proud to announce that we are now being carried at Crafters Plus at 3337 Walker Rd. in Windsor! The store is full of great local artisans, artists and authors, come check it out, buy our soap. They also have home made pie for sale on weekends, if you needed further incentive.

In the foreground is "rescue" soap (as Louis calls it) all the trimmings and left over bits of Redcap chopped up and recast in plain soap base to make composite bars. No wasted soap! In the background is the new version of Brownies' Breakfast. I added the coffee last, so now the bars are off white with coffee flecks. Oddly, now it floats.
