This particular conversation is with my friend Bri & it touches on dating, discernment, celibacy, healing, integrity, double lives, choosing a life partner & why I’m intentionally moving much slower than I used to.

A little more context before you listen to this conversation with my friend Bri🤍.

We were talking about dating again after doing the kind of healing that makes you realize you can’t just choose someone because you have chemistry with them. You have to choose someone based on character, integrity, consistency, emotional maturity & the life they’re actually capable of building with you.

Bri shared two stories that honestly made my jaw hit the floor— women who thought they were in loving, committed relationships… only to discover that the men they trusted were living completely separate lives behind their backs. Multiple women. Multiple relationships. Entire double lives😵‍💫.

And that’s part of why I move the way I do.

I’m not “too picky.” I’m not moving slowly because I’m afraid of love. I’m moving slowly because I understand the consequences of choosing the wrong person.

We live in a dating climate where people can curate an entire version of themselves for you while simultaneously living another life behind your back. So yes, I’m going to observe. I’m going to take my time. I’m going to pay attention to patterns, not promises. I’m going to watch how someone moves when there’s not
