This is something every blonde client should know.

The final result always depends on where we are starting.

Your current color, previous color history, hair condition, and the blonde you want to achieve all play a role.

If you have lighter brown or virgin hair and you’re looking for a soft, dimensional, buttery blonde, it may be possible in one longer appointment.

But going from dark hair, especially previously colored dark hair or box dye, to a bright icy blonde is a completely different process.

Trying to push the hair too far in one session can lead to unnecessary damage and breakage.

One of the biggest mistakes I see is using heat tools without protection.

A blow dryer, flat iron, or curling iron can make your hair look beautiful in the moment.

But repeated heat without protection can lead to dryness, breakage, and loss of shine over time.

Especially with blonde and highlighted hair, which has already gone through a chemical process, heat protection is not optional.

A GOOD HEAT PROTECTANT CREATES A BARRIER BETWEEN YOUR HAIR AND HIGH TEMPERATURES.

It helps reduce damage and keeps your hair looking smoother, healthier, and more manageable.

My recommendation:

Always apply heat protection before using any hot tools, even if you are only blow-drying your hair.

Because beautiful blonde hair is not only about the color.
