There’s a couple new faces that you might see when you come for your appointments! Of course, there’s our sweet boy Cael. But if you come on a Monday, you may see my mom, who we call Omi. She is one of the reasons I’m able to start working again! She will be watching the little man on Mondays while I work.

The other face is my husband Alex, but he’s not really new 😅

Meet the newest, smallest member of the Bretton Does Nails family!
•
Cael William Erwin decided that I was serious when I said he could come anytime after I finished work at the end of August, and he made his appearance on September 1!
•
We had a bit of a rough start when he decided breathing was overrated, which lead to some other problems, and landed us in the NICU for a few days, but we are home, healthy, and happy (the picture might not look like it but that was just cuz we took his blanket off)!

Having a community of peers that you trust is so important in our industry! There is so much talent, and I love to share the love. I’m so thankful that I have a community of people I can recommend for while I am on my mat leave!

When I return, my schedule and booking process will be very different, and I know it won’t work for everyone! Part of my job is to make sure my clients are happy and well taken care of, whether that’s by me or someone else. So I’m glad I have some very talented friends to recommend for my clients!

We are settling into the new house and I am getting my studio ready for next week! So in my posting absence, here’s all the floral nails I’ve done recently!

So, tomorrow is officially the day my husband and I get our new house! I will be hard at workovunf and getting things ready to transition work into our new home. I will likely be slow to answer texts and DMs for the next while, so thank you in advance for your patience with me!

So there’s big changes coming for Bretton Does Nails!
•
If you’ve been in recently, you know my husband and I sold our house in St. James and bought our forever home! We’re very excited for the move! Because of that, my books are pretty much full until the second week of June, so if you are hoping to get an appointment for the beginning of summer, please book ASAP.
•
With this move comes another big change. When I started in the industry, my goal was to work from home so I could work around my future children and their schedules. So with this transition home, Bretton Does Nails is relocating starting May 31, and I’m very excited about the change! If you have an appointment coming up, please watch your email for updates on the location and new information needed.
•
Part of the reason this change in location is happening now is in preparation for the aforementioned future children. Alex and I are expecting our first Munchkin in September (we recreated a photo from our engagement photos back in 2019 to document the change in title from cat parents to human parents)! My books are closed starting at the start of September in preparation for our new addition, and I will be contacting clients when I start taking appointments again. I will also have a list of places I recommend clients visit in my absence!

Is there anything as nice as a clean, fresh brow wax?

I mean, yes, but this is so good!

~•~ UPDATES ~•~

New updated pricing goes into effect March 15, 2022. As my costs to perform services go up, unfortunately my pricing needs to reflect it in some way.
•
Masks will also remain mandatory. I am trying to take every possible precaution to make sure that the health and safety of everyone around me, including in my studio, my home, and the people around me in life remains a priority in my work. If my husband or I get sick, I cannot work and be able to provide the services I love to do. If one of my clients or family members gets sick because of my lack of precaution, then that is on my conscience and I would like to avoid that at all costs.

I will be on holidays from February 1st-9th and will be taking some time away from work during that time.
•
Alex and I were supposed to go to Mexico for our honeymoon, but we decided to cancel and we are instead spending some time working on getting our house ready to sell.
•
During this time, I’m going to be taking a step back from work entirely so I can focus on my home and get a good amount of rest to reset after the busy holiday season! Online booking will still be open so feel free to book appointments, and if you have questions you can leave me a note in the booking and I will get back to you when I am back!

I cannot believe it is officially 1 year since I opened Bretton Does Nails!
•
It’s been a crazy year, especially being closed for almost half of it, but it’s been amazing!
•
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me, come to see me for services, ordered press ons, and referred others to support me! Without all you amazing people, I wouldn’t be here.
•
The goodie bags are filled with some of my favourite things, as well as some traditional goodie bag items because everyone loves goodie bags!
•
And a special thank you to my husband who has been so patient and supportive through this whole thing ❤️😅
