Electrolysis by Marcia Gomez
My passion is helping others! Luckily, I am able to do that by providing permanent hair removal with electrolysis. I am very passionate about what I do.
I was trained as an Orthodontic Assistant and served the industry for 15yrs. I started my career as an electrologist and have had the pleasure of working alongside Mary Matewich and Jeannie Hiebert (owner and employer of Genie Hair Removal Solutions) since 2001. Since then I have treated many women and men seeking electrolysis for permanent hair removal including pre- and post-operative transgende

33-year-old female: Chronic plucker
Plucking over the years anchors facial hair more robustly due to the undetected scar tissue formed in the deeper layer of skin from tweezing; it also hides the actual reality of the amount of hair present. If the subject keeps to a recommended treatment schedule and hair growth remains hormonally stable, 12-18 months is a base estimate for completing facial work. However, the number of sessions will vary from individual to individual.
-To achieve permanency as quickly as possible, please follow the prescribed treatment plan by your practitioner.
The level of intensity current(s) that it took to release these hairs gave me pause, so much so that I admitted to the client that I was struggling
(in fact, at the time, this was my "MOST" challenging case). Treating a case such as this one without compromising the integrity of the skin is of the utmost importance. A practitioner should always be mindful and know when to err on the side of caution, even if it may result in some regrowth. Sometimes the bigger cases are easier to do than the smaller ones...Case in point!
Why 95%+ and not 100? Unfortunately, an electrologist can not prevent further hair growth from untreated follicles as female facial hair is hormonal, and untreated follicles can produce future random strays. Nevertheless, the follicles that's been successfully treated are rendered permanently terminated.

Update:
62-year-old Male
Growing a beard is a personal preference. However, nothing is flattering about sporting a caveman "neckbeard" appearance. This client wanted to rock a more natural look and requested a higher neckline. This was not an easy case at ALL. Due to skin's pliability, attaining symmetry was challenging, not to mention the neck area (with me) is ouchie; nevertheless, the end goal was achieved.
