Has your practice outgrown your insurance coverage?

MTAM members have access to comprehensive, occurrence-based coverage. That provides a strong foundation. However, it doesn’t mean that every risk associated with massage therapy practice is covered.

As your practice grows or changes, so do your risks. Ask yourself, “Does my insurance still reflect the practice I operate today?”

Members, you can learn more about this on the members’ portal on our website!

📣 Manitoba Massage Therapists & Clinic Owners — Your Input Is Needed

A 2026 Manitoba Massage Therapy Labour Market Survey is currently gathering information about the massage therapy workforce across Manitoba.

The survey will help provide current data on:
• Demand for massage therapy services
• Recruitment and hiring challenges
• Availability of qualified massage therapists
• Clinic capacity and unmet client demand
• Anticipated workforce needs over the next three years

The information collected may be used to support applications to the Government of Canada regarding continued access to the Canada Student Grant for Full-Time Students for eligible massage therapy education programs.

If you are a practicing massage therapist, clinic owner, or clinic manager in Manitoba, we encourage you to participate.

🔒 Responses are anonymous and results will be reported only in aggregate.

Please share with other Manitoba massage therapists and clinic owners. Broad participation will help provide a more accurate picture of Manitoba’s current massage therapy labour market.

📣 Help make massage therapy tax-free.

The Canadian Massage Therapist Association (CMTA) is calling on massage therapists and patients across Canada to lend their voices to the campaign for a GST/HST exemption for massage therapy.

With the 2026 federal fall budget being developed, now is an important time to speak up.

You can help by:
✉️ Sending a pre-written letter to your Member of Parliament and the Minister of Finance
📲 Sharing the campaign with your network
📣 Encouraging your patients to add their voices, too

It only takes a few minutes to take action.

Learn more and find everything you need to participate on the MTAM website: mtam.mb.ca/gst-exemption-for-massage-therapy

There are so many benefits to massage therapy! If you’re in the thick of back to school and new fall routines, it’s the perfect time for a massage. In addition to relaxation benefits, they can help relieve muscle pain, stiffness and tension.

Regular massages can improve flexibility and range of motion by working on the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues. It’s also beneficial for your mental health.

If you’re ready to book a massage, you can find an RMT in Manitoba on our website: https://mtam.mb.ca/find-an-rmt-choose-an-option/
