Two of my NON-NEGOTIABLES when it comes to brow laminations 👀👇🏼

1. Take your photos BEFORE Step 3.
Before applying your nourishing cream/oil, get the shot 📸 Step 3 can make the brows look shiny or weighed down, so if you want that clean, fluffy finish in your content, photos first, nourish after.

2. NEVER wax before laminating or tinting.
Waxing temporarily exfoliates the skin and can leave it more sensitive. Now imagine putting Step 1 — the strongest chemical step — or tint directly onto freshly waxed skin. 😵‍💫 That can mean more stinging, redness and irritation for your client.

The order matters:
Laminate → Tint → Wax. ALWAYS. ✨

Sometimes better results aren’t about doing more. It’s about understanding the little details that make a BIG difference.

9 years. 🥹🤎

What started as me simply taking a chance on myself turned into a business, a career, a community and a life I never could’ve imagined.

These 9 years have taught me that you don’t need to have it all figured out; you just need to start, stay willing to grow, get uncomfortable and keep going.

Every client, late night, scary decision, cringey post 😂 and leap of faith helped build MJP Beauty into what it is today.

And somehow, 9 years later, I still feel like I’m only getting started. 🥹

Sometimes, as artists, we get so caught up in the appointments, the before & afters, and perfecting our technique that we forget to appreciate the art we’re actually creating.

Every brow is different. Every client requires a different approach. It’s not just about following the same steps—it’s about knowing when to adjust, where to place each hair, how to create balance, and when to trust your eye.

So here’s your reminder to always be THAT artist.
