Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope By fundraising together, we’re breaking barriers in ovarian cancer research and care, proving that change is within reach.

Today is World Ovarian Cancer Day, and it’s a day that hits incredibly close to home.

Most of you know my daughter Meleah, was a dedicated dancer and a total warrior. What many don’t know is that she was misdiagnosed before we finally got the truth. By the time we knew what we were fighting, the battle was already so uphill. She lost her fight on May 28, 2024, and our lives haven’t been the same since.

Ovarian cancer is often called the “silent killer” because there is no regular screening test and the symptoms are so easily missed or misdiagnosed. We need more research and better awareness so other families don’t have to endure this kind of heartbreak.
