Happy New year to all our friends and neighbours!
First off, I’d like to thank the community for 20 years of support .
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Buffie Cantafio. I am the owner and one of the Hairstylists at Buffie & Co Salon Spa.
I opened my salon July 2006 . Wow, where has the time gone?
We have some big changes in the salon.
First… our Spa side of the salon.
With the departure of our current Esti in February, we have 2 new Estheticians to serve your skincare, waxing , mani/pedi needs.
Sandra has over 35 yrs experience,specializing in skincare and Dermaplaning , and an efficient water, including Brazilian and soft gel nails.
Our second Esthetician joining the team part time ( for now),is Danica ( ) who loves waxing and hard gel enhancements has 11 years of experience.
Now on the hair side we have a Riverbend resident Jenna( ),joining our talented team of stylists .
She shines doing fashion colors extensions.
Charmaine () a Senior Stylist with Buffie & Co., started in the beginning with me. 20 yrs . But we have worked together since 1994… so teammates for 32 years!
A master at all she does, she’s meticulous barber, can do amazing color work and whip up an updo for any occasion !
James ( ) also a Riverbend resident joined us from a prestigious salon in summer 2025 , and loves doing extensions, longhair highlights and is a masterful barber!
Myself Buffie, () started in Garden City Hairstyists in 1987. I worked there for 19 yrs honing my skills. Inspired to go out on my own, I left and opened my salon 5 min from home in July 2 006. Riverbend . The rest is history . I’ve watched my clients grow up,get married and have their own kids.
The area has developed so much. People moving in and moving out. Many of the residents don’t know us, and we’d like to change that. Come see us we’re family friendly, and an ally with LGBTQ2S community.
Other salons have come and gone but Buffie & Co. has been the only original in the area. That says something. Now I say thank you again, and hope to meet more of you.
