It's finally sunny out, and that means we will be exposed to the sun more! ☀
Sunburn's are red, painful skin that feels hot to the touch. It usually appears within a few hours after too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light from sunshine or artificial sources, such as sunlamps. Home remedies can usually provide sunburn relief, but sunburn may take days to fade.
Intense, repeated UV light exposure that results in sunburn increases the risk of other skin damage, such as dark spots, rough spots, and dry or wrinkled skin. It also raises the risk of skin cancers such as melanoma.
You can prevent sunburn and related conditions by protecting your skin. This is especially important when you're outdoors, even on cool or cloudy days...
Some easy preventions are:
- Avoid sun exposure between 10am-4pm
- Avoid sun tanning and tanning beds
- Use sunscreen frequently & generously
- Wear sunglasses when outdoors
- Be aware of sun-sensitizing medications.
Stay Safe & Enjoy the Weather! ☀☀☀

Safe Medication Storage : 💊
• Know that heat, air, light, and moisture may damage your medicine.
• Store your medicines in a cool, dry place. For example, store it in your dresser drawer or a kitchen cabinet away from the stove, sink, and any hot appliances. You can also store medicine in a storage box, on a shelf, in a closet.
• If you are like most people, you probably store your medicine in a bathroom cabinet. But the heat and moisture from your shower, bath, and sink may damage your medicine. Your medicines can become less potent, or they may go bad before the expiration date.
• Pills and capsules are easily damaged by heat and moisture.
•Always keep medicine in its original container.
And most definitely, Keep children safe. 🚸
• Always store your medicine out of reach and out of sight of children.
• Store your medicine in a cabinet with a child latch or lock.
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ QUICK TIPS: ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
-Go through your medicine cabinet at least once a year.
-Gather up your medicine that is old, no longer in the original container, has unclear labels and has changed in colour, smell or taste.
-Safely dispose of medications through your local pharmacy.
