Now we have both AI and Trump ruining small businesses 🙃

Over the past weekend, significant changes to US import tariffs have resulted in an unexpected increase in the costs associated with shipping my press-on nails to the US.

Previously, the tariff was approximately 15% of the order value. With the recent changes, an additional 50% tariff is now being applied to the products I ship, bringing the total import costs in some cases to approximately 65% (which is absolutely INSANE)

My focus has always been on creating quality press-on nails and providing the best experience I can for my customers. However, I have to be honest about the uncertainty this situation has created for my small business.

At this point, I’m not sure what the future of Prairie Pressies will look like. I absolutely love what I do, and I feel incredibly blessed that I’ve been able to turn my passion for creating nails into a full-time business. But with these unexpected costs, I have to seriously consider whether continuing is financially sustainable.
