Many women don't realize how much fear, stress, and anxiety can impact labour.
Fear doesn't just affect how birth feels—it can affect how labour works.
When we feel afraid, stressed, or anxious, our bodies release stress hormones that can increase tension, make contractions feel more intense, and interfere with the natural flow of labour hormones.
That doesn't mean you need to eliminate all fear before birth.
It means understanding what's happening in your body, knowing your options, and having the support to navigate labour with confidence.
That's exactly why I created Fearless Birth Circle.
Inside, you'll get comprehensive birth education through Unmedicated Academy, along with ongoing support and coaching from a doula designed to help you move from fear to confidence before labour begins.

Most women are told to research the stroller.
Research the car seat.
Research the crib.
But when it comes to birth?
"Just trust your doctor."
The problem is that many women don't discover they had other reasonable options until after their baby is born.
Birth education isn't about challenging every recommendation.
It's about understanding your choices, so you can make informed decisions that align with your values, goals, and circumstances.
Inside Fearless Birth Circle, you'll get evidence-based birth education and ongoing support from a doula throughout your pregnancy—so you're not left trying to figure it all out on your own.

Your due date is an estimate, not a deadline, yet many women are made to feel like they've reached a cutoff once that date arrives.
The topic of induction has become so normalized in maternity care that many women simply expect it.
Many women even believe:
"My body just didn't know how to go into labour."
In reality their labour was never given the chance to start on its own.
The more women who are induced by 39 or 40 weeks, the more going beyond 40 weeks starts to seem abnormal—even though it can still be a completely normal variation of pregnancy.
Many conversations around induction focus heavily on the risks of waiting, while the risks, tradeoffs, and alternatives receive far less attention.
Birth isn't an event that needs to be scheduled.
Just because labour can be started artificially doesn't mean induction is always the best choice.
Induction is a significant intervention, and like all interventions, it comes with potential risks..
Inside Fearless Birth Circle, we talk about the real risks, benefits, and alternatives of induction so you can walk into birth feeling informed, calm, and confident in your choices.
Comment your DUE DATE and I'll send you my free 30-minute training on:
• Why so many women choose unmedicated birth
• How hospital routines can make natural birth more difficult
• What actually helps you prepare for a confident birth
Not every "risky" choice is as risky as it sounds.
Every choice in pregnancy and birth comes with potential benefits, risks, and tradeoffs. The goal of informed consent isn't to eliminate risk—it's to understand it.
If a recommendation is presented as the only "safe" option, it's okay to ask questions:
• What is the actual risk?
• How likely is it?
• What does the evidence show?
• What are the alternatives?
You deserve information, not just labels.

Many women don’t realize how much routine hospital policies can shape their labour experience.
They don’t realize how much subtle pressure exists in birth until after the fact.
A lot of the time, hospitals are simply following routine policies and doing what they’re used to doing.
When you’re in labour, exhausted, overwhelmed, and trying to make the “right” decision, it can be hard to pause and ask questions or fully understand your options.
That’s why birth education matters so much.
Fearless Birth Circle was created to help women walk into birth feeling informed, calm, and confident in their choices.

Routine episiotomy is generally no longer considered evidence-based care.
Research shows routine episiotomy can actually increase the risk of deeper tearing compared to allowing the tissue to stretch and tear naturally.
And yet… episiotomy rates still vary widely depending on your provider and birth setting.
The provider you choose matters.
Questions matter.
Informed consent matters.
Individualized care matters.
Follow for more provider red flags every pregnant woman deserves to know before birth.

I've seen this one a lot.
Induction has become so commonplace that many women just expect it.
While induction can absolutely be the right choice in some situations, not all women are truly given informed consent before agreeing to it.
Too often, women are told the benefits of routine interventions without fully understanding the risks, tradeoffs, or how one intervention can lead to the next.
“Informed consent” should include all of it.
This is exactly what you'll find inside Fearless Birth Circle.
You'll learn about common hospital practices and routine interventions — including the risks, benefits, and alternatives — so you can better understand your options, ask questions, and make decisions from a place of confidence instead of fear.
