Hi there! My name is Darla and my pronouns are they/he! I’m a trans nonbinary hairstylist with a passion for rainbow hair and textured razor cuts! I graduated hair school in October 2021 and have been behind the chair since June 2023. My focus is on providing a safe space for both the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent folks! I offer quiet services and always have a basket of fidget toys at my station.

Outside of the salon, I enjoy watching anime, reading manga and fanfics, and playing video games or DND with my friends. I also love animals and used to work in a pet store for 7 years! Talk to me about your nerdy interests and the critters you have at home and we’ll get along great!

I’m Cass!! I’ve been a hairstylist for 8 years and I love working in a creative industry!

It’s more than just hair, my goal is to make every client feel fabulous when they leave the salon. I’m excited for any kind of change - even if it’s just a bang trim!

From dimensional blondes to vivids, I’m always down to create natural or bold changes to the hair. Trends cycle frequently & I love to adapt my skills for any kind of colour service. I always look forward to the new ideas my clients bring in!

Shags, butterfly cuts, long layers are my favorite for cutting. I love adding shape and movement into the hair! Layers are a go-to manageable style that I will recommend for most clients!! & If you love a bouncy blowdry - I’m your girl!!

Creating a comfortable space for my clients is the most important - anyone is welcome in my chair! I appreciate all the relationships I build with my clients, I truly get excited to get updates on your life adventures!

Outside the salon, I spend my time creating art projects like bead work or learning new crafty hobbies!! I love to watch horror movies or trash TV, with a cat by my side of course. I’m a huge animal lover so please tell me about your pets!!!!!

It’s the best possible example of “see you soon”. Our time at 562 Academy has come to an end. Our little pink building has given us so much, it’s what’s inside that special. We look forward to creating many years of magic at 173 Lilac St. Thank you to anyone who has supported us over the years. You have our hearts 💋

There is a sweet little spot on our third floor, we would love to find a nail artist that could thrive and grow in our space! Looking for someone that has clientele, someone that specializes in some kind of nail art or gel nails! You can make that little space your own! As you may have heard, Jan 1, we will be relocating to 173 Lilac St, which is approximately just over 2 blocks away from Corydon! It is a super cute 3 level home that has been converted into a salon. As you can see here, we are a stones throw from many coffee shops, restaurants and other businesses. We even have a bookstore and gift shop in our lil strip for you to peruse if you are early! We can’t wait to explore this neighborhood and find our favorite spots!

The news is out! Starting on January 1, the Sapphire hair lounge will be located at 173 Lilac St! It seems that we’ve simply outgrown our little pink salon on Academy Road, and as much as it brings us much sadness, we are so incredibly excited to have a fresh new space with more room, more storage, and more love ❤️ So many details to follow but for now, we Celebrate!!! 🎉 🥹🔥

Thank you so to all of the families that attended our free youth gender affirming haircut day! This year it was a great success, thank you to the team for volunteering their services and pumping out some very cute haircuts, to those that donated and for organizing the day! So honoured to be considered a safe space in our community!
