Nail Question: Does Gel or Acrylic ruin your nails?

Answer: Neither! Surprising, I know. If properly applied, correctly maintained, and carefully removed they won't cause injury. Injury or damage to the natural naul can be caused from aggressive or careless removal. Careful removal should take time, not force. Gental removal prevents nail damage. Quick removel such as using floss to take a lifting nail off can cause LOTS of damage. If the nail plate is damaged it can lead to splitting of the natural nail. So if u want your Gel or acrylic off do not do it yourself! Get a professional nail tech to do it. You are doing yourself and your nails a favor.
