Hello again, I was asked about solutions for blondes... well I won’t be the professional to tell you to start lightening your hair at home. There are some safety concerns with that from causing scalp burns to literally melting your hair off. However, if you so choose to... do not use higher than 20 vol developer on your scalp, do not use external heat(dryers etc). These can cause severe burns to your skin. Do not overlap into existing blonde hair as this can cause some serious breakage. We in the biz like to call that a chemical haircut!!
The best way to lighten your roots without doing it chemically is to mask them! Fake it!!!! You can use either baby powder or dry shampoo. Apply either to your dark roots and rub in accordingly. You will notice the dark roots start to blend with the rest. This will take some practice but it is much safer than the alternative. We can fix your colour or maybe even your crooked home cut but we can’t glue your hair back on... well I guess you could always get extensions but that can be a huge investment $$$$$$$$$$$$$!
There are many brands of dry shampoo, I would recommend batiste perhaps. It used to have a light blonde option. Using these products, I would recommend not using every day and shampoo out within 3-4 days. They can clog pores and cause irritation. Lastly check to ensure you are not allergic before spraying your entire head by applying a small amount to the inside of your elbow... happy hair day!!!” .

Hey folks, little bio on me. I have been a cosmetologist for 28years and am the hair colour and lightening Professor at Fanshawe college in the hairstyling program for 13 years and counting.
Anyway some of you may be finding yourself with lighter than desired regrowth right now. I wanted to inform you that there this a low risk temporary fix to help you get by for the time being. I would recommend a hair mascara. Looks similar to eyelash mascara and is applied the same way, so real easy to use. You may find a hair mascara on amazon or shoppers. These are temporary colours so they won’t cause permanent results and therefore no permanent repercussions. Most professional line manufacturers make an over the counter quality of product that may not be as good as pro but good enough for now. So when looking I would stick to brand names. Schwarzkopf, L’Oréal, Revlon etc. These products generally wash out fairly quickly but if you don’t shampoo for a few days you will be good.
Lastly and important note, they are only made to darken your hair so if you have dark roots they will not make you blonde. Hope this helps. I have more tips so feel free to reply with questions
