Four Arrested Following Impaired Driving and Drug Seizure

On December 30th, 2024 after midnight, police responded to a single-vehicle crash where a car lost control and ended up in a ditch. Four individuals were found near the scene of the accident. During the investigation, the vehicle was towed to a secure location for further examination.

While officers were still investigating the crash, they observed a second vehicle speeding in the area. A traffic stop was initiated, and it was determined that the same four individuals were in this new vehicle. When speaking with the driver, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol, and the opinion of impairment was formed. The driver, a 32-year-old man from Woodstock, was arrested and transported to the police station, where he provided breath samples. It was determined that he had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

A further search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a quantity of co***ne. As a result, all four occupants were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking co***ne. Additionally, the vehicle involved in the traffic stop was seized for a period of seven days.

The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be laid.
