Hi friends!
After a month of camping, driving across the country visiting friends and eating beef jerky on the road, while listening to true crime podcast for ten hours straight, we have finally made it to Ottawa. I already feel homesick: I miss the gallery, miss my little salon and all of you, wonderful people. I’ve heard Yellowknifers are finally allowed to come home soon! Wishing everyone safe travels and thinking of you and your families in these challenging times! ❤️

This weekend in Behchoko I did extensions/glued tips. I’m not sure why the word “extensions” has been forgotten and people often get confused by what it means. It means we extend your natural nails using various gel/acrylic products. I was taught to do sculpted extensions with poly gel. I was not prepared to extensions as I have long given up on offering them, but forgot that high school students often want the opposite of what my regular clients want 😂 Natasha Roberts saved me with sharing her tips and glue and here’s what I’ve learned - it’s a very fast process if you just glue the tips on and do an overlay on top. I’m not a huge fan of nail glue but for July, I’ll make an exception. If you wanted extensions, here’s your chance to book in ♥️
