Today looks a little different at Fleur on The Farm.

I’ve been invited by a lovely group of ladies to come speak about my products and share a little about how Fleur on The Farm came to be.

And that story was never really about making a better bath and body product.

Fleur on The Farm is a beauty from ashes story. 💚🍀

It was about surrounding myself with so much goodness, purpose and love that eventually there just wasn’t as much room for the dark anymore.

That philosophy quietly found its way into everything we do.

I use local ingredients whenever I can. When sourcing beyond our little corner of Saskatchewan, responsible sourcing matters to me — including ingredients that help provide employment for women in communities where opportunities can be limited.

One of my handmade soaps gives back to a charity very close to my heart, because I still have a hard time accepting that in a world with so much, homelessness exists.

And then came the Clocktower Corner Market.

That certainly wasn't created to make us money. Quite frankly, it tends to do the opposite.

But the market is very much a reflection of both Scott and me.

My husband is the Procurement Manager at Grain Millers and has spent much of his working life deeply involved in the farming community. Agriculture, farmers and rural Saskatchewan aren't just something we decided would make a nice theme for a market — they're part of our everyday life.

We both believe strongly in small towns, farmers, makers and little businesses with big dreams. So we wanted to create another place where they could set up shop, meet their neighbours and be discovered.

There's also something about preserving prairie life that matters deeply to us.

Maybe that's why I love antiques so much. I love the things that carry a story — and remembering the generations before us who came to the Prairies, built communities, opened little shops, helped their neighbours and made something from what they had.

In our own little way, I think that's what we're trying to preserve at Clocktower Corner.

So today I get to pack up some Fleur products and tell a room full of women how this funny little business of mine came to be.

And I think that's a pretty great way to spend a Wednesday.

Whatever you're doing today, do a little of it with a kind heart and a smile.

You never really know what might grow from it.🥰

Shout out to all my gals who collect their flowers 💐 from the garden and from bouquets 💐 ...dry them and deliver them 💚
I love giving them a second life!
The glossy rose petals at the end ...probably one of my favorites! I took the petals a lady donated from her mom's funeral and dipped them in a rose scented Glycerin soap and turned them into a single use soap 💚 and of course gave them back 🥰
