May 9, 2020 will forever be the day that changed my life. It's a day that put me in a whole new game, a game I don't know how to play, it's the day I was diagnosed with Malignant Spindle Cell Tumor with smooth muscle differentiation and Leiomyosarcoma. It is a mouthful to say, it's also cancer.

What does that mean for me? That means I need to put my career on hold. That means I put a lot on hold and refocus. That means sometimes I will want family and friends around, sometimes I won't. Some days I answer the phone calls and messages, some days I retreat and try to keep my sanity afloat.

I am thankful for everyone's thoughts and prayers. I may know you for a lifetime or for a moment and I appreciate you all the same.
Don't know what to do or say? Me either. If you want to reach out please know I may or may not return your message. Not because I don't care but because it is so hard to navigate life right now.

Government has Announced that Phase 3 target date is June 8th.
With that news I will appreciate if you wonderful Clients to give me some time to reopening our schedule in the next 7-10 days. There is a lot that Peggy & I need to prepare for the up coming day!!

Read it twice...let it sink in...what have you learned?

Today I am rereading the required PPE and health and safety required to work again with a fresh perspective. To say it's been scary and overwhelming is an understatement but that's not me. That's not the example the strong women in my life have set before me.
My family is made of a cancer survivor with a newly broken arm that walks 5k a day and makes family suppers. Two sisters that dispense life saving medication in ever changing circumstances , a health care worker comforting alzheimers patients through this tough time and a special sister we call our "tribute" that supplies us with groceries and necessities to our doors so that we continue to flatten the curve.

It may not be business as usual, you may not see my smile underneath my mask, but I'll be back with a plan soon.

With the government's recent release of the phases to reopen the province, hair salons are expected May 19. I will be contacting clients to rebook in the order they were cancelled.
There will be a new normal in terms of health and safety that may affect appointment durations. If you weren't booked, please text or call me and I will get you in. If you need a root touch up kit or a gloss/tone kit prior to May 19,let me know.
My greatest concern is your health and safety. I have not heard what regulations we will have so please bare with me.
