Announcement๐ข | Asynchronous classes/No face-to-face classes will be implemented in all public schools nationwide tomorrow, April 8 (Monday) in order to โallow learners to complete pending assignments, projects, and other requirementsโ
April 9 and 10 are declared National Holidays.
Classes will resume on April 11, 2024 (Thursday).

Battle of writers: words of insight
On February 8, 2023, a Municipal Press Conference was conducted at Central Elementary School in the Municipality of Rosario Agusan del Sur. The event was attended by representatives from municipal schools and featured a showcase of the academic achievements of their students both elementary and secondary learners. The event was a resounding success, with the participants showcasing their impressive writing and other skills.
During the conference, it was announced that the contestants from Sta. Cruz National High School won several awards in the annual Municipal Schools Press Conference held in Central Elementary school of Rosario agusan del sur.
The Sta Cruz national high school's Editorial writing team won third place in both the English and Filipino categories. Additionally, the News writing contestant took first place in the Filipino category and fifth place in English Category. The feature writing contestants won second place in both the English and Filipino categories, while the Copyreading and Headline Writing contestants took second place in the English category and third place in the Filipino category. The Sci-Tech contestant won third place, while the Editorial Cartooning contestant took fourth place. Finally, the Sports Writing contestant won second place, solidifying the school's impressive showing at the conference.
The Municipal Schools Press Conference was a testament to the quality of education offered by the Municipalityโs schools and a testament to the academic excellence and hard work of their students. Representing Sta. Cruz National High School at such a prestigious event is a true achievement, as well as its educators and students, should be both proud and inspired by their accomplishments.
The event was a testament to the importance of writing in today's society and a celebration of the creative talents of the youth. The Municipal Schools Press Conference proved that with hard work and dedication, students can achieve success in various fields.
Overall, the Municipal Schools Press Conference was a huge success, with students from various schools in the area showcasing their skills in journalism and media production. The students from Sta. Cruz National High School performed particularly well in the various competitions and won several top prizes and ranked as third plaace overall performing school in secondary level.

IT'S CATCH-UP FRIDAY!
The school will be launching Deped's Project DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) for three consecutive Fridays starting today January 12 in support to the goal of the Deped to discover the magic of reading as well as to instill the love for reading among learners.

In line with the implementation of the National Reading Program as an integral component of the National Learning Recovery Program (NLRP), the Department of Education implements Catch-up Fridays.
Catch-up Fridays is designed to strengthen the foundational, social, and other relevant skills necessary to actualize the intent of the basic education curriculum by focusing on the development of learner's reading, critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills.

๐Cheers to a fantastic celebration of our National Reading Month, National English and Filipino Month and Book Week with the theme "PAGBASA: Pag-asa sa MATATAG na Kinabukasan," held from November 20 and December 1, 2023.
The rainy morning on the event this Friday, December 1, which included a captivating School-based English/Reading Festival 2023, an inspiring closing program, and a momentous awarding ceremony.
Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this program possible and to those who participated in the festivities -- to all the talented individuals who showcased their skills in Filipino Duet Kundiman, Spelling Bee, Readers Theater, Jazz Chants, Chorale Reading, Spoken Poetry and Oration.
