I am a member of the Mayana Mpora Foundation since 2020. During my first Namibia vacation in 2019, I visited the Ingrid Poike Preschool and was quite enthusiastic about the commitment and warmth of the contributors. Whereupon I promised to return the following year and participate in the project. In the next two years I collected donations and flew alone to Namibia to support the various projects and to establish the first sponsorships for the students.
In my private life, I am a teacher at a Swiss elementary school and am now running a fundraising run for the fourth time at my school to keep the projects going. I completely support the foundation, because I know that our donations go directly to the community and that I have an impact on what happens over there. Every year it is a pleasure for me to witness the ever-growing development of the students.
My responsibilities include looking after the sponsors in Switzerland and Germany, the corporate design and collecting donations.
