We bond over hot takes.
We build careers on judgment.
And somehow… we’re all tired.

My book, Beyond the Critic, is about what happens when we stop using judgment as a weapon and start using it as information. Less reactivity. More curiosity. Better relationships. A nervous system that finally gets to relax.

If that resonates, I’d love for you to check it out — link in the comments.

There is a lot happening right now.
And much of it is heartbreaking.
With what’s unfolding throughout the world many people are feeling frightened, angry, helpless, and voiceless. I want to name that first, because it matters. It feels deeply incongruent to “promote” anything while so many are hurting.
And… I also want to speak honestly from my heart. After 14 years working in mental health, and the last 7 years coaching, one truth continues to reveal itself again and again:
What we focus on grows.
What we resist tends to persist.
Fear, separation, and rage may feel justified, and often are, but they also multiply themselves when they become our only strategy. Whatever we’ve been doing for the last few years isn’t creating the peace or safety we long for.
What does create change are heart-centered leaders. People willing to look honestly at the fear and division within themselves first. People willing to notice where they may have traded compassion for a false sense of security. People who understand that violence begets violence, and hatred begets more hatred. Get out there and vote with your whole hearts...track what your politicians vote for, notice who is building up others and communities, and working toward meaningful collaboration, get involved.
I keep wondering:
What would happen if those who want peace — those grounded in their humanity and unwilling to harm others — flooded the spaces where compassion is currently absent? What if injustice was dismantled from the inside by people led by conscience rather than fear? What if people stopped waiting for someone else to step up and lead with heart?
This is why I’m still sharing that my book goes on sale February 3rd — even though I am feeling some sort of way about it. The only way to keep the horrors at bay is to change focus. I am focusing in one place where I do hold power. It’s my way of continuing to be the change I want to see. One way to share what I've learned and hopefully spark light in homes, families, and communities.
I am an immigrant. I am profoundly grateful to live in a country where I am not afraid of my door being kicked in, weapons drawn, my life uprooted in an instant. And I know that nearly all people — everywhere — want the same things:
Safety.
Dignity.
A livable wage.
Meaningful community.
A sense that they belong.
So many are waiting for someone else to take the initiative.
But change has always started the same way — at home, within.
This book is about relationships, yes. But it's also about how we meet fear, how we interrupt judgment, and how we choose responsibility, compassion, and love even when the world feels like it’s unraveling.
I offer it now not as a solution, but as a contribution.
A vote for humanity.
Thank you for being here. 💛

There's something so freeing and refreshing about this...I ask myself every day, multiple times a day: Who am I? Who do I want to be? How would it look/feel/ sound like/etc. to embody that? It's a great way to start my day with focus and intention. 💜
