I left Albania at 17. Years later, I left the UN to start a beauty company. I’m only 42, but sometimes I feel like I’ve already lived many lives.

So many countries. So many stories. So many versions of myself. And I feel incredibly lucky that none of it was left behind.

Every place I’ve been, every person I’ve met, every lesson I’ve learned has somehow found its way into this next chapter.

Reinvention isn’t about erasing your past.

I had just left a decade of humanitarian work and moved to Switzerland.

For the first time in years, I wasn’t moving toward another mission, another country, another emergency.

I was trying to figure out what came next.

What I didn’t know then was that I wouldn’t leave that part of my life behind.
