My Journey of Infertility
10 Years of Pain
Chapter Eleven: The Call That Changed Everything
That night, I slept more peacefully than I had in weeks.
Not because I suddenly had answers...
But because I had finally surrendered the questions.
The next few days passed slowly.
I continued taking my medications exactly as the doctors instructed.
I prayed.
I smiled.
I worried.
I waited.
Every sunrise brought me one day closer to the moment I had been longing for.
Finally...
The day arrived.
Blood test day.
My husband held my hand as we drove to the clinic.
Neither of us talked much.
There was nothing left to say.
Our hearts were speaking loudly enough.
After the blood sample was taken, the nurse smiled kindly.
"The results will be ready later today."
Later today...
Those three words felt heavier than ten years of waiting.
We left the hospital and tried to keep ourselves busy.
We went for a short walk.
We shared lunch, though neither of us had much of an appetite.
Every time my phone vibrated, my heart skipped a beat.
Was this it?
Was our lives about to change forever?
Hours later...
The phone finally rang.
I stared at the screen.
It was the clinic.
My hands began to tremble.
I looked at my husband.
He squeezed my hand tightly.
"Answer it," he whispered.
I closed my eyes for just a second...
Took a deep breath...
And answered the call.
"Hello..."
The voice on the other end greeted me warmly.
"Good afternoon. We have your test results..."
At that moment...
It felt as though the whole world stood still.
Every prayer...
Every tear...
Every injection...
Every disappointment...
Every ounce of hope...
Had led to this very moment.
I held my breath...
Waiting for the next words.
To be continued...
The next chapter can reveal the life-changing test result a

My Journey of Infertility
10 Years of Pain
Chapter Ten: The Two-Week Wait
The days after treatment seemed to move slower than time itself.
The doctors had explained everything.
"Go home. Rest. Live your life as normally as possible."
Normally?
How could life ever feel normal when every heartbeat carried so much hope?
This was the famous two-week wait.
Fourteen days.
Only fourteen...
Yet they felt like the longest days of my life.
Every morning, I woke up asking myself the same question...
"Could this be the beginning of our miracle?"
I paid attention to everything.
A slight cramp.
A wave of tiredness.
A headache.
A moment of nausea.
Every tiny sensation made my mind race.
"Is this a pregnancy symptom... or am I imagining it?"
I quickly learned that hope and fear can live in the same heart at the same time.
Some moments, I smiled without even realizing it.
Other moments, I caught myself preparing for disappointment, just in case.
My husband noticed the battle inside me.
One evening, he gently took my phone from my hands.
I looked at him, surprised.
He laughed softly.
"No more searching symptoms on the internet."
I couldn't help but smile.
"But what if I'm missing something?"
He shook his head.
"The only thing you're missing is peace."
Those words touched me deeply.
He suggested we spend the evening differently.
We cooked dinner together.
We played our favorite worship songs.
We laughed over old memories and dreamed about places we wanted to visit one day.
For a few precious hours...
Infertility wasn't the center of our conversation.
Hope was.
Before we went to bed, we knelt together as we had done countless times before.
But this prayer felt different.
I didn't ask God for signs.
I didn't beg Him for answers.
Instead, I simply whispered,
"Lord...
Whatever the result...
Thank You for carrying us this far.
Help
Don't be desperate to the point that you end up apologizing for things you didn't do .
It is so unhealthy.

My Journey of Infertility
10 Years of Pain
Chapter Nine: The Waiting Begins
The treatment had finally begun.
For so many years, we had prayed for this opportunity.
Now that we were living it, I realized something no one had prepared me for...
The waiting could be just as difficult as the infertility itself.
Every appointment brought a mixture of hope and anxiety.
Every phone call from the hospital made my heart race.
Every little change in my body left me wondering...
"Is this a good sign?"
I searched my face in the mirror each morning, looking for answers that simply weren't there.
Some days I felt optimistic.
Other days, fear whispered, "What if this doesn't work?"
Those thoughts often crept in during the quiet moments.
But I refused to let fear have the final word.
Instead, I held tightly to God's promises.
One afternoon, while sitting alone after an appointment, I opened my Bible and my eyes fell on the words:
"Be still, and know that I am God."
Those words settled my anxious heart.
I realized I had done everything I could.
The doctors were doing their part.
Now, the rest was beyond my control.
That evening, my husband found me sitting quietly on the couch.
He smiled and asked, "What are you thinking about?"
I looked at him and replied,
"I'm learning that faith isn't believing everything will happen the way we want...
It's trusting God even when we don't know how the story ends."
He reached for my hand and gently squeezed it.
"We've already won," he said softly.
"Because we've refused to give up."
His words stayed with me.
Whether our miracle came tomorrow or months later...
Whether our journey became easy or even harder...
We had already become stronger than we ever imagined.
For the first time in a long while, I wasn't counting days.
I was counting blessings.
And somehow...
That changed everything.

My Journey of Infertility
10 Years of Pain
Chapter Eight: Taking the Next Step
After days of praying, talking, and searching our hearts, we finally made our decision.
We would move forward.
Not because we were certain of the outcome...
But because we believed we had come this far for a reason.
The following week, we returned to the hospital.
This time, I walked through the doors with a different mindset.
The fear was still there.
The uncertainty hadn't disappeared.
But hope had quietly found its place beside them.
The nurses welcomed us with warm smiles as they explained each step of the treatment.
There were forms to sign.
Tests to repeat.
Medications to begin.
Everything suddenly felt very real.
As I listened, I whispered a silent prayer.
"Lord, You know the desires of my heart. If this is the path You have prepared for us, give us strength for every step."
The days that followed were filled with early morning appointments, medications, and endless waiting.
Some days I felt strong.
Other days, I questioned everything.
There were moments when I wondered if we were asking too much of ourselves.
But every time those thoughts came, my husband reminded me why we had chosen this journey together.
Whenever I grew tired, he would simply say,
"One day at a time."
Those four words became our daily encouragement.
We learned not to focus on the finish line.
We focused on today's appointment.
Today's prayer.
Today's strength.
Because tomorrow would take care of itself.
For the first time in years, I stopped trying to control every outcome.
Instead, I placed each day into God's hands.
I didn't know what the future would hold.
But I knew we wouldn't face it alone.

A Childhood Buried in Silence
Part 7: A Gentle Conversation
The next morning, Mrs. Daniels arrived at school earlier than usual.
Nathan was already there.
As always, he sat quietly at the back of the classroom, his worn notebook open in front of him.
"Good morning, Nathan," she said with a smile.
"Good morning, ma'am," he replied softly.
Throughout the lesson, she noticed the same things she had seen before.
Nathan was attentive.
He completed every assignment.
But whenever the other children laughed or chatted together, he remained alone.
When lunchtime arrived, the classroom quickly emptied.
Nathan stayed behind.
Mrs. Daniels walked over and sat in the desk beside him.
"I hope you don't mind if I keep you company for a few minutes," she said.
Nathan gave a small shrug.
They sat in silence for a moment.
Then she spoke gently.
"I visited your home yesterday."
Nathan looked down at his hands.
"I'm sorry if that upset anyone," she continued. "I only wanted to make sure you were doing okay."
For a long moment, he said nothing.
Then, almost in a whisper, he asked,
"Did... did my mother seem angry?"
Mrs. Daniels chose her words carefully.
"I could tell she wasn't expecting me," she replied. "But I came because I care about how you're doing."
Nathan swallowed hard.
"I don't like making people angry."
His words were so quiet that she almost missed them.
Mrs. Daniels felt her heart tighten.
"You deserve to be able to talk to someone," she said gently. "And if you ever want to tell me something, I'll listen."
Nathan's eyes began to fill with tears.
"I try to be good," he whispered.
"I clean."
"I wash clothes."
"I stay quiet."
"I do everything I'm told."
He paused.
"But... it never seems to be enough."
Mrs. Daniels didn't interrupt.
She simply sat beside him.
After a few moments, Nathan wiped his eyes with the sleeve of his uniform.
"No one's ever asked if

My Journey of Infertility
10 Years of Pain
Chapter Seven: A New Door Opens
At our next appointment, I wasn't expecting to hear anything different.
After all, we had already heard so many difficult conversations.
So many "maybes."
So many "we'll see."
So many moments that left us with more questions than answers.
But that day felt different.
Our doctor looked at us with kindness and said,
"I know this journey has been incredibly hard. But there are still options we haven't explored."
For the first time in a long while, I leaned forward instead of looking down.
He carefully explained another treatment that might give us a chance.
There were no guarantees.
No promises.
Only possibility.
As we listened, my heart wrestled with two emotions.
Hope...
And fear.
Hope wanted to believe this could be the breakthrough we'd been praying for.
Fear reminded me of every disappointment we had already survived.
Could I bear another heartbreak?
Could my heart survive hoping again?
The treatment would require more appointments.
More tests.
More sacrifices.
And more waiting.
We left the clinic holding a folder filled with information, but our minds were full of questions.
That evening, my husband and I sat quietly at our dining table.
The room was silent.
Neither of us knew what to say.
Finally, he reached across the table and took my hand.
"We don't have to decide tonight," he said softly.
"We'll pray about it. And whatever we choose, we'll choose it together."
Those words brought peace to my restless heart.
For the next several days, we prayed for wisdom.
Not for the easiest path...
But for the right one.
We asked God to guide every decision and give us the courage to keep moving forward, even when the road ahead seemed uncertain.
Slowly, the fear that had gripped my heart began to loosen.

My Journey of Infertility
10 Years of Pain
Chapter Five: When Hope Felt So Far Away
The days after our diagnosis were dark.
Not because the sun stopped shining...
But because, for me, the light inside had begun to fade.
I smiled when people looked at me.
I laughed when they told jokes.
I answered, "I'm fine," even though my heart was quietly breaking.
Every pregnancy announcement felt like another piece of my heart had been taken away.
Every baby shower invitation became a reminder of what I longed for but couldn't have.
Some nights, I cried myself to sleep.
Other nights, I couldn't cry at all.
I just stared at the ceiling, wondering if motherhood would always be a dream that stayed out of reach.
I questioned everything.
My faith.
My worth.
My future.
Even my own body.
I kept asking,
"Why won't my body do what it was created to do?"
The guilt was overwhelming.
I blamed myself for something I couldn't control.
Through all of it, my husband never let go of my hand.
One night, after seeing me completely broken, he pulled me close and whispered,
"I didn't marry you because of the children we might have. I married you because I love you. And no diagnosis will ever change that."
At that moment...
The tears I'd been holding back poured out.
For the first time in weeks, I allowed myself to grieve.
Not because I had given up...
But because I was finally honest about how much it hurt.
That night, we prayed together.
Not for instant miracles.
Not for easy answers.
Just for the strength to keep taking one step at a time.
As we finished praying, I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time.
Not certainty.
Not victory.
Just the tiniest spark of hope.
It was small...
Fragile...
Almost invisible.
But it was enough to help me believe that maybe our story wasn't over yet.
Little did I know...

A Childhood Buried in Silence
Part 6: The Visit
The following morning, Nathan's teacher couldn't stop thinking about him.
His quiet voice...
His lowered eyes...
And the heartbreaking words he had spoken:
"I never got to eat it."
She knew she couldn't ignore what her heart was telling her.
After the final school bell rang that afternoon, she asked the headteacher for permission to visit Nathan's home.
With directions from a few neighbors, she made her way down a narrow dirt road leading to a small, weathered house.
As she approached, she noticed the yard was untidy, and the house looked worn by time.
She knocked gently on the door.
After a few moments, a woman opened it.
"Good afternoon," the teacher said politely. "My name is Mrs. Daniels. I'm Nathan's teacher. I came to see how he's doing."
The woman's expression changed.
"He's fine," she replied quickly. "There's no problem here."
Just then, Nathan quietly appeared in the doorway.
For a brief moment, their eyes met.
His face showed surprise, but also relief.
"Hello, Nathan," his teacher said with a warm smile.
He smiled back, though only faintly.
"I've missed seeing you smile in class," she added gently.
Nathan looked down without saying a word.
The teacher thanked the woman for her time and prepared to leave.
As she turned away, she noticed something she hadn't expected.
Near the back of the house, Nathan was carefully washing clothes that looked far too heavy for a child his age.
He worked quietly, without complaint.
Her heart grew heavy.
She didn't yet know everything that was happening in Nathan's life.
But she knew he needed someone who cared enough to keep asking gentle questions.
As she walked home, she made another promise to herself.
She would not give up on him.
Because sometimes, the smallest act of kindness begins with simply showing up.

My Journey of Infertility
10 Years of Pain
Chapter Four: The Diagnosis That Changed Everything
The room felt unusually quiet as the doctor carefully explained our results.
After months of tests, scans, and unanswered questions, we finally had a diagnosis.
I listened, but for a moment, it felt like the words were floating above me. My heart was pounding so loudly that I could barely hear anything else.
There it was—the reason our journey to parenthood had been so difficult.
Tears filled my eyes before I could stop them.
This was the answer we had been waiting for... yet it wasn't the answer we had hoped to hear.
I looked at my husband, and without saying a word, I saw the same mixture of sadness, confusion, and determination in his eyes.
The doctor gently explained that while the diagnosis would make conceiving naturally more challenging, it didn't mean all hope was lost.
"There are still options," the doctor said with a reassuring smile.
Those four words became a lifeline.
As we left the hospital that day, I cried in the car until I had no tears left.
I wasn't just grieving the diagnosis—I was grieving the future I had imagined would come so easily.
My husband held my hand and softly said,
"We may have received difficult news today, but this isn't the end of our story."
I wanted to believe him.
Deep down, a tiny spark of hope was still alive.
I just didn't know where that hope would lead us next.
